Personal branding is really about personal growth.

Inevitably, people expect a career uber-strategy from me followed by a steady bombardment of “do’s.”

Do this in meetings.

Do that on social media.

Do the other in your writing.

But there’s more to personal branding than the litany of “do’s.”

Personal branding is more inward reflection and personal discovery than it is outward networking and social posting. It’s about an individual exploring and finding their path to growth.

It’s curious but true: while we can experience the feeling of growth as it’s happening, few of us can map out exactly what we need—and how to get there—in our heads alone.

Maybe we just followed a well-worn career path and never paused to reflect.

Maybe we just stumbled onto a new career path without critical contemplation.

Maybe we love our current career path but something’s vaguely gnawing.

Perhaps we all just need someone who can help us focus on ourselves, to examine, to consider, and to find that path to growth—with intention.

You might know a person who’s been quietly longing to grow but struggling to understand it or define it. Who senses they have talents not-yet-expressed. Who has ambitions that can’t quite find form.

You might know a person like that.

That person might even be you.
